Sneaker Pimp: Sergio Rossi Puma 1st Round

Pumas designed by Sergio Rossi are the epitome of high-top sneaker design. If you don't know who he is, just know he is a prominent designer from Italy known for his women's footwear and handbags. The Sergio Rossi Puma 1st Round shoe (pictured above) in Black Isis is an awesome looking shoe. The material is suede and patent leather upper with a rubber sole. The Rudolf Dassler shoes I posted on the first Sneaker Pimp are pretty premium at around $150 but the Sergio Rossi 1st Round shoes are fetching for $230. Product Review: Clae Russell

I went and purchased the Clae Russells in white I discussed in the second Sneaker Pimp feature. The shoes are spectacular! They do fit a half size smaller but I am not sure if that the problem. The shoes are pretty narrow so there is pressure on my pinky and big fat toes but buying a 9 rather an 8 1/2 may helped. I hope wearing them out here and there will eliminate the tension. Overall I am happy with them because I purchase the shoe through Piperlime at $64.97 rather than the original retail price of $130! I will be buying more Clae shoes in the future... at least a half size bigger.

Sneaker Pimp: Creative Recreation Dicoco

This shoe is women's high-top from Creative Recreation. This shoe is a bi-product of merging comfort of sporty shoes with grace of dress shoes. When I first ran into these shoes I thought they were pretty hot stuff but the coolness lost a bit of its novelty as many other companies have followed their lead. Definitely a new and innovative against the traditional sneaker. What caught my eye is the women's Dicoco model pictured above.

Sneaker Pimp: Clae Russell

Clae is relatively new to the sneaker scene but its designer has been around for a long time doing stints at Triple Five Soul, Supreme, and DC Shoes. Although sporty looking, Clae shoes are not for skateboarding but strictly for casual wearing.

WAD magazine describes it best; Clae provides footwear for adults who don't want works shoes, but don't really want to look as if they're refusing to grow up either. Its minimalist design aesthetic and sober colorways are the epitome of discretion.

My favorite model is the Russell in white. It is a proper classic high-top. Only problem I see is it will likely wear out faster than most shoes since it's all-white. The Russell looks bloody fantastic though.

Sneaker Pimp: Rudolf Dassler Wellengang Mid

Yup, I am a shoe fanatic. Some people focus purely on Nikes and others collect the other brands like Reebok. I search for the obscure. This shoe is manufactured by a well known company, Puma, but it is from a relatively unknown line; Rudolf Dassler. Before I go into the shoes let's do a back-round check.

Rudolf Dassler is the brother to Adi Dassler who started Adidas. Originally Rudolf's company was named Ruda but then changed, for reasons I do not remember, to Puma. There you have it. Now Puma has a range of higher-end shoes that is a patronage to the man who started it all.

The Rudolf Dassler Wellengang Mid in Cloud White and Dassler Black is my choice of poison if I could buy a pair. Check those and a few other shoes at Zappos and the Rudolf Dassler site.
